JOB SUMMARY

Marriott.com,

one of the Top 10 largest consumer retail sites in the world in sales, is looking

for a Sr. Manager, working in Product Management to help with Triage for issues

that are generated by the team, customers, or other product leaders. This position will work primarily within Marriott.com's

Reservation product area. This role will partner closely with other

Marriott.com and Globalization Product leads, as well as leaders in the Digital

Acquisition and Digital Personalization & Branding business units, to

maximize product performance in support of overall Marriott.com and department

goals. This individual will be part of a

Reservations team that delivers over 60 million room nights annually. Ideal candidates will have a proven track

record of eCommerce conversion funnel optimization.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

BS/BA degree required in an appropriate field with a graduate level preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus

Certifications and Highlighted Capabilities (preferred but not required upon entry)

2 years working in eCommerce with a focus on managing web based customer facing products. 1-2 years working in the Hospitality industry interfacing with customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills. Experience estimating and managing budgets. Experience with Waterfall and Agile software development approaches. Experience with Microsoft tools -- specifically, PowerPoint and Excel.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Triage Support

Manages the lifecycle for issues reported into the Reservation product areas: tracks issues in ticket tracking system; analyzes issues, identifies solutions and routes issues to appropriate Product Manager and team for resolution. Follows-up with issue resolution from product teams as well as for the communication to requestor on status. Assesses product opportunities and enhancements received from internal Marriott stakeholders and "in the field" from regional and hotel operations staff. Assists in the definition of roadmap and priorities for fixes and enhancements and advises Product Managers on impact. Develops communications for internal management, the field and customer care when an issue will be resolved and released on Marriott.com. Manages work streams that include resource plans, timelines, dependencies, scope, estimates, budgets, issues, risk mitigation plans, business process changes and other operational needs. Develops documentation such as presentations and status reports for audiences from senior management to product teams and to properties globally. Shares issue and resolution impacts with other Marriott.com product areas to ensure education alignment across the teams.
