As Aaron's HR Manager/AR Representative you will lead the Human Resources/Associate Resources function of the operating Division by ensuring that Aaron's is attracting, motivating and retaining a high-performing, diverse, and successful workforce. The position is responsible for upholding company policy and practices, working through employee relations issues, training, supporting recognition and rewards programs, coaching and developing associates, performance management, implementing new people initiatives, and helping to create and maintain a positive working environment for all corporate associates. Job Duties Provide total associate resource functional service for operations division. Ensure employment related policies, procedures and hiring guidelines are followed. Communicate and coordinate the handling of associate issues and concerns to maintain a positive work environment. Advise and counsel management on various associate resource matters. Must have the ability to make fair and unbiased decisions based on the facts. Provide communications on policy and procedure initiatives. Train and monitor completion of all Associates training and compliance, HR programs and policies and use of Aaron's HR systems to ensure Associates are coded correctly. Act as subject matter expert on Aaron's Performance Management Program. Train and guide associates on Performance Management as well as drive the annual review and rewards process for operating division. Ensure proper administration of HR practices, HR programs, benefits registration, and training /compliance classes. Position Requirements 3 years prior HR generalist experience in retail or similar industry Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree with 2 additional years relevant experience 2 years of human resources investigations experience. PHR certification a plus Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to travel daily with little notice within operating division Familiarity for HRIS systems, preferably Ceridian and Taleo. Strong communications and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of recruitment process, applicable laws, and performance based interviewing skills.
