We have an exciting career opportunity for an Administrative Assistant 1 to join our human resources team at Tenet/Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, MI .

As our Administrative Assistant for the Human Resource department, you will have the opportunity to showcase your talents with exceptional administrative support to the Sodexo management team that provides daily environmental services to employees at all six hospitals.

Additional duties include:

Provide HR administrative support to the onsite HR management team Tracking frontline employee onboarding, and managing personnel files Filing HR records and payroll records Fielding and directing department phone calls Assist with application process

Qualifications for the Administrative Assistant include proficiency with MS Office products, strong organizational skills to maintain department documents accurately and efficiently and experience with conference room scheduling and catering/special events. Experience within an HR setting is desired.

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, provides general secretarial and administrative support to a department or group of professionals. Work is typically straightforward and administrative or clerical in nature. Compiles and analyzes basic information for inclusion in reports or presentation materials; prepares charts, graphs, or tables as necessary. Types letters, memos, reports and other types of correspondence. Organizes and maintains files and records. Arranges and schedules interviews, meetings and appointments.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
