Working in partnership with NaviSite VARs and Technology partners, the Channel Marketing Manager will develop and implement VAR recruitment strategies which support Channel growth and enablement. The Channel Manager will also support the marketing and sales to support the VMware/NaviSite Go to Market. This role reports to the Director of Channel Marketing who is responsible for Channel Marketing and Programs.

The Channel manager’s primary responsibility will be to develop, execute recruitment strategies and campaigns while supporting the VAR Channel Managers. The strategies will include building awareness and branding in the channel space. The manager will cross functionally with Product management, Channel management and other members on the Enterprise marketing team to ensure consistency of messages and strategies in the channel go to market effort. The role has broad-ranging responsibilities beyond campaign execution, so must possess strong communication skills, an ability to manage multiple priorities, spearhead due diligence on new initiatives, and manage multiple competing vendors in order to maximize marketing investment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Channel, Product management and sales to develop and implement relevant recruitment campaigns (including webcasts, virtual events, content syndication, sponsorships, dimensional mail, promotions, etc.)

• Develop campaign objectives, target audience, key messages/content, program sequencing, recommended touch points, and key metrics or benchmarks within specified budgets.

• Work closely with live events team to understand external event opportunities (national, regional) and provide recommendations for campaign alignment.

• Responsible for developing and implementing a variety of go to market initiatives to support the VMware strategic partnership. This may include: lead-generating campaigns that support the overall sales strategy for both new business sales and sales into the existing customer base, communications strategies both internal and external, sales enablement tools/initiatives.

• Responsible for identifying gaps in sales enablement and creating tools to close those gaps. (Digital, electronic, etc)

• Ensure all programs and campaigns are executed effectively, to deadline and deliver against business objectives.

• Provide detailed analysis and reporting of each campaign, including interpretation, commentary and recommendations. Including ROI on marketing investments

• Create co-branded, co-messaged collateral to support strategic partners

• Maintain Var prospect lists and manage data held within SFDC

• Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of marketing experience

• Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing a solid schedule of lead generation campaigns and marketing programs

• Technical background or high-comfort level with technical products, a plus

• Must be able to demonstrate strong project management, budget management, and organizational skills

• Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills

• Strong analytic skills and the ability to turn data into useful information to support sales goals and objectives.

• Ability for measuring and reporting metrics for all marketing activities supporting the Channel GTM.

• Develop integrated and iterative campaign strategy and plans, outlining key marketing themes, messages, content, and offers throughout the year.

• Manage the execution of marketing programs to achieve marketing qualified lead and pipeline targets.

• Create and support regional and partner lead events including logistics and tactics

• Work with cross functional teams to ensure success on VMware related GTM initiatives.

• Supporting corporate-sponsored activities, such as customer conferences, annual kickoffs, tradeshows and other ad-hoc activities (some travel required)

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing or Business Administration.

• Share best practices and success stories with sales team to ensure marketing and sales alignment
