Job Overview
As a Machinist you will be responsible for working on various types of machinery, as well as, setting up and troubleshooting as needed. You will also work from process sheets, blue prints, verbal instructions and written instructions
Job Responsibilities include:
- Insert and secure tooling
- Use calipers, micrometers, depth and height gauges
- Assist in other department operations as required; to accommodate production requirements
- Experience in setting up and programming machines
- Use of micrometers, calipers and other high end precision measuring devices
- Read production routing and production blueprints, which are used in forming and cutting metal
- Ability to stand through your whole shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ideally, 3-5 years experience running a brake press
