2nd shift Structural MIG Welders

1st & 2nd shift: MIG & TIG weld thin guage sheet metal enclosures.

There will be weld tests for both positions.

• Set-up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas shield arc, submerged arc or gas welding equipment.
• Weld with stainless and aluminum.
• Assemble parts by bolting or riveting.
• Bolting and assembly of various items.
• Use of bandsaw with an automated feeder.
• Examine the panel to detect defects after assembly is completed.
• Install the control panel into enclosure with the assistance of 1 - 2 other people.
• Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (especially eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes/boots, gloves, etc.)

Required Skills

• The ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
