Program Dates: June 6th, 2016 -- August 12 th 2016

Our undergraduate summer internships are a great way to gain confidence, sharpen your skills and make a difference.

You'll work side by side with people who value your enthusiasm and creativity. Internships typically last 10 to 12 weeks, 40 hours a week, from June to August. You'll be assigned to a business area and work on tasks you would experience if you worked here full time. Interns also participate in:

* A cross-functional project that provides solutions to a real business issue Aetna is facing, and the chance to present their recommendations to senior leaders at the end of the internship

* Community service initiatives

* Mentoring program

* Networking events

* The opportunity to learn about our businesses and get exposure to senior leaders

POSITION SUMMARY :

Creates and executes specific deliverables and activities as part of a team assigned to a business-sponsored IT project. Key contributor to overall project success.

FUNDAMENTAL COMPONENTS:

Performs analysis to assist with the translation of business needs into Business Requirements and Functional Specifications documentation within specified time frames.

Conducts impact analysis of technology changes on business processes and existing technology.

Contributes to the review of Test Planning and Test Execution strategies.

Assists with the development of business workflow diagrams.

Documents, tracks, and resolves issues related to data quality.

Completes project activities on time and within budget, and proactively identifies and communicates issues that may jeopardize milestones or project budget to the Project Manager.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

* 3.0 GPA

* Leadership/Collaborating for Results

* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management

* Ability to work independently

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Proficiency with MS Office products

EDUCATION:

Current college student pursing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, MIS or similar quantitative fields of study.
