Compensation Analyst-160001RE Job Human Resources Primary Location United States-MA-MABoston Organization Corporate (Network) Description

The MENTOR Network is currently looking for a Compensation Analyst who will

provide financial metrics and analyze cost of various benefits and compensation programs. Assist in the development, implementation and administration of a wide variety of compensation programs that provide consistent and equitable treatment of employees and are consistent with the philosophy of the organization. Participate in the research of new benefits, support the delivery and communication of benefits programs, and assist in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Analyze and provide metrics and reports on benefit plans and programs.
  • Perform job evaluation studies and job audits, including: job analysis, creation of job descriptions and recommendation of salary classifications. Analyze and define job requirements. Recommend appropriate pay level of positions.
  • Conduct, participate in and analyze custom and standard wage and salary surveys.
  • Participate in the screening and selection of benefit carriers, comparative evaluations, data collection and implementation.
  • Assist in the maintenance of job and pay structure and provide recommendations.
  • Conduct periodic audits of compensation programs such as titles, classifications, and job descriptions etc.
  • Assist in the ensuring of fair and consistent administration of compensation and benefits programs across the organization.
  • Develop and prepare various standard and custom reports to display current employee and compensation data, and to reflect compensation program performance in a variety of areas such as increases, budget performance, and position to pay range.
  • Conduct research to determine the effectiveness of benefit programs and policies, as needed. Evaluate and analyze possible plan design or benefit cost changes.
  • Provide guidance to HR staff and operations managers on compensation and benefits related issues.
  • Oversee maintenance of data, records, job descriptions, job evaluation histories and other compensation related activities, files, records, and data.
  • Participate in the implementation of company-wide projects and initiates, special projects and studies as they relate to Total Rewards.
  • Perform other related duties and activities as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two to four years of related experience in HR/Compensation; CEBS, PHR or CCP certification preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills; proficient with PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of compensation theory and practices; attention to detail
  • Deadline oriented, ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
