Item Processor

The shift available is NOON to about 8:30pm. Candidates must have a High School Diploma, excellent 10 key skills and experience, 2+ years of admin experience, basic computer software experience, and banking experience.

Position will examine, add, repair, and audit data for discrepancies and errors. Also, position will reconcile data to ensure accuracy.

Item processor is responsible for abstracting information from checks (such as payment amounts, account numbers, "pay to" info, etc) and entering the information into Jack Henry's item processing software to be applied to customers accounts. High attention to detail and accuracy are key.

Responsibilities may include:
Reviews data from source documents.
Verifies entries for accuracy and completeness.
Reviews incoming batches in order to balance and correct discrepancies.
Reviews batch documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to establishment standards.
Performs audits of both incoming and outbound documents to ensure conformance with regulations and procedures.
Sends and receives file transmissions if necessary.
Sends and receives courier parcels, and distributes incoming items.
Records inbound and outbound items.
Encodes paper documents.
Supports other areas of Item Processing as necessary.
