About this job

Provides

access to hospital care for individuals referred from outside the Marquette

General Hospital (MGH) organization.

Works as an intermediary between the on-call MGH physicians and the

referring physicians in the community setting to meet the placement and

treatment needs of the patient.

Responsible for tracking referrals and maintaining ongoing communication

with referral sources to ensure community needs are met.

Minimum

Education:

* Graduate from a recognized LPN, LVN program or equivalent.

Required

Testing:

* Newly hired employees are required to pass a

written and clinical

test

on medications; Employees who transfer into the position are

required

to pass a written and clinical test on medications if

a

written clinical test was not taken and passed

previously at MGH

Required

Licensure:

* Licensed in the State of Michigan as a Licensed

Practical Nurse or equivalent.

Required Registration:

* Basic Life

Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

Minimum Experience:

* Three years of acute

care experience

Preferred Education:

*

Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Experience:

* Five or more years

of acute care experience

Other Skills:
