JOB SUMMARY:

The physician recruiter is responsible for planning, developing and implementing effective Physician and Advance Practice Clinicians (APC) sourcing and recruitment initiatives designed to ensure there is a stable and consistent workforce of primary and specialty care physicians and APCs within the CHI ND/MN Operating Division. This position is responsible for participating in the alignment of sourcing and recruitment activities to support the strategic direction of the organization.

This position is responsible for the management and successful completion of entire Physician/APC recruitment process, which includes, but is not limited to the following: coordination of the 'initial' and 'on-going' contact with applicants; assessment and screening of applicants; arranging prospective candidate's travel for interviews and site visits; escorting candidates during the site visit; scheduling candidates for interviews with appropriate stakeholders; planning on-site visits for candidates; coordinating concierge services during on-site visits; ensure reference checks are completed; solicit and record comments/issues from candidate and interviewers; answer questions; closure of any follow-up actions, coordination with various stakeholders to seek physician and APC compensation in accordance with CHI Legal Policy 9 and 10. May include coordination and assurance contracts are executed timely, and the coordination of onboarding and orientation activities necessary to support a successful hire.

In collaboration with the Director of Physician Employment and Recruitment, coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of systematic, ongoing Physician and APC recruitment strategies and initiatives by working with stakeholders to ensure strategic goals and objectives are realized for the organization.

Initiates and executes sourcing plans and activities to ensure the needs and requirements of the organization are achieved. This includes establishment of relationship with medical students, residents, fellows and currently practicing Physicians and APCs throughout the country.

Coordinates advertising and public relation strategies, to include special events, related to Physician and APC recruitment, and is responsible for sourcing candidates using the most advanced methodologies to achieve cost effective and efficient recruitment processes.

Compiles, analyzes and presents market information and perspectives to assist in the development of Physician and APC recruitment initiatives. Based on market data, prepares and distributes recruitment ads using a wide range of media types, venues and sources.

This position may be required to work with external locum agencies to effectively expedite locum coverage as efficiently as possible, including coordination and oversight of expenses related to locum companies, and any details related to locum coverage.

Participates with Senior Leadership to prepare appropriate recruiting documents; prepare offers of employment; and responding to inquiries related to the terms and conditions of employment. May also participate in acquisition of existing medical practices.

Maintain accurate statistics for monitoring and reporting of recruiting data that will be used by management to aid in decision-making and to provide direction on Physician and APC strategies and related matters. Maintains and reports on recruiting status and progress, as required. Maintains candidate data in the designated applicant tracking system.

Education/ Work Experience:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, marketing, human resources or healthcare administration or related field is required.

- Three to five years of experience working with physician and/or APC recruitment is preferred.

- Master's Degree in related healthcare field, business administration, or human resources, and certification or ability to obtain Staff Physician Recruiter certification status within two years, is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

- Valid State Driver's License

- Certification or ability to obtain Staff Physician Recruiter certification within two years is preferred (CMSR or ASPR).
