With your outstanding business and sales expertise combined with your exceptional relationship-building skills, you'll thrive in delivering a superior customer experience and provide innovative solutions to State, Local, and Federal Government agencies. With your passion for technology and Verizon products and services, you'll be responsible for expanding sales opportunities through strategic networking and expert negotiating to close sales. With an understanding of complex State, Local, and Federal Government agencies, you'll serve as a trusted advisor in delivering the right solutions to drive customer success. Together, we'll expand Verizons reach, strengthen our impact, and change the world through powerful technology.ResponsibilitiesWith a deep product expertise and a strong understanding of our solutions, youll: Provide ongoing high-quality customer support, analyzing customer needs and recommending innovative solutions Continuously seek out new growth opportunities within government agencies and generate new sales leads Write proposals and respond to Request For Proposals (RFPs) Provide follow-up training for new business customers Utilize sales force automation, funnel management, and prospecting tools Generate forecasting and tracking reports Attend training to keep up with company products, as well as market and industry trends
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:A 2-year degree, or at least 4 years of relevant business experience in outside sales and account managementPreferred Qualifications:A 4-year degree, 5+ years of outside sales and account management experience with an emphasis on national and government accounts, and a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quotasAdditionally, the following skills and attributes will be integral to your success: Excellent communication and customer interaction skills with the ability to negotiate and close sales Ability to navigate accounts and develop key partnerships within customer organizations A passion for technology Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Outgoing, resourceful, and motivated to learn
