ARE YOU A MECHANIC TECHNICIAN LOOKING FOR A DIRECT, FULL TIME SALARY POSITION AT A SUCCESFUL, LOCAL COMPANY?

Aerotek is now looking for mechanical technicians responsible for fabricating, modifying, fitting, assembling, improving, and installing manufacturing and manufacturing related equipment. Maintenance will include repairing, overhauling, adjusting, and lubricating a wide range of equipment in the general category of processing, packaging, and material handling. It is expected that the mechanical technicians have special proficiency on some particular group of equipment by function or area. The mechanical technician will operate with the Q.T.E. principles of customer service, team work, and cooperation with all trades, production, and support personnel.

Technician is expected to:

1. Follow all safety instructions and procedures (reference JSA)
2. Trouble shoot, maintain, and/or install manufacturing and manufacturing related equipment.
3. Perform duties using various types of equipment necessary to complete the job.
4. Maintain work records and perform necessary documentation.
5. Plan, schedule, and perform job assignments through reading and interpreting written descriptions or engineering drawings. Make sketches as needed.
6. Acquire theoretical and practical training in necessary skills and utilize all attained and previously acquired skills to complete job assignments.
7. Detect faulty operations and defective materials or product while working with production to correct the situations.
8. Inform supervision of corrective action taken and/or assistance needed. Maintain the area and equipment in a clean, sanitary, and proper manner.
9. Follow quality control standards, safety regulations, and standard operational methods and procedures.
10. Perform all expectations and duties of the job in accordance with General Plant Rules, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP Guidelines, Proper Protective Equipment requirements, OSHA Guidelines, and Q.T.E. principles.
a. Expected to follow the instructions of Team Managers, Team/Shift Coordinators, Working Supervisors, and related personnel.
b. Expected to learn and apply knowledge of existing and new technology as needed to perform the functions of the job.
c. Expected to follow all existing safety rules and policies while performing the functions of the job (lock out/tag out).
d. Expected to communicate with Team Managers, Team/Shift Coordinators, Working Supervisors, Operators, Vendors, and related personnel

11. Perform daily job functions with a customer service approach.
a. Expected to respond to all calls, pages, directions (verbal or written) in a timely manner.
b. Trouble shoot and repair/replace manufacturing and manufacturing related equipment.

c. Expected to identify, repair, and communicate equipment issues in a timely manner.
d. Expected to perform the above stated functions independently and when scheduled.
e. Expected to perform the functions of the job in a safe, clean, and sanitary manner.

12. Continuous Improvement.
a. Expected to willingly participate in the improvement of skills, techniques, procedures, performance, support systems, and operations of manufacturing and manufacturing related equipment.
b. Expected to willingly participate in the development of knowledge and skills required to perform the functions of the trades related job.
c. Expected to attend training courses to improve general/specific knowledge of the job function and to attain skill blocks.
13. Other jobs as assigned by the team manager.

This job has responsibilities that encompass food safety and food quality. Follow food safety and quality control standards, safety regulations, and standard operational methods and procedures.
Employees are responsible to detect and report irregular operations or product to supervision. Employees are responsible to maintain the area and equipment in a clean and proper manner.
