Sheet Metal Mechanic - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek's client is currently ramping up for a large number of Sheet Metal mechanics for immediate employment. This is due a few recent contract that were awarded that will involve individuals to perform heavy mod work on CRJ's.

Specifically, we are looking for well rounded Sheet Metal Mechanics and people with an A&P will be heavily considered. Individuals will be performing multi-tasks to include basic removals, repairs, and installations of structural components.

Job responsibilities include the following:

-Shoot and buck rivets to specifications following FAA guidelines

-Recognize differences in types of metals including structural strength and thickness

-Perform sheet metal bends to guidelines and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices

-Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materials

-Perform repairs to the aircraft along with determine which repairs can or cannot be made

-Read blueprints to ensure build and modification completion, follow both written and verbal instructions
