Summary

Software Engineer I

ATLAS Technology Group is the leading retail analytics platform in the consumer package goods industry. Blue chip CPG manufacturers and retailers leverage Atlas’ platform and tools to garner insight to retail performance. Atlas’ applications provide easy to consume data across sales, supply chain and space planning while extrapolating the highest value information (out-of-stocks, phantom inventory, etc.). Real-time visibility provides product performance visibility and identifies issues for corrective action. Based in Bentonville, AR, Atlas continues to lead the industry with progressive and innovative market solutions.

ATLAS Technology Group is looking for the best and brightest Junior level .Net Developers. This person will be part of a high performance team responsible for delivering customized solutions to customers and internal users. This will require collaborating with team members to build highly scalable desktop and web applications.

Responsibilities
  • Work independently and in a group environment to deliver solutions according to project deadlines and requirements
  • Participate in planning sessions with customers and internal users to analyze business requirements
  • Understand project requirements and translate them into design and application functionality
  • Participate on assignments and projects by clarifying business requirements, performing application development and modification activities, as well as related maintenance and support
  • Utilize programming languages and software technology, fully understanding and applying internal coding standards
  • Clearly communicate updates and progress on deliverables upon request
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and complete tasks according to project prioritization.
  • Apply quality assurance principles and processes to ensure application meets the needs of the customer and to reduce defects
  • Provide timely response during on call periods
  • Be adaptable to changes in priority and include proper parties in decision making as necessary


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
  • Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills
  • Analytical approach with strong ability to uncover and solve problems
  • Working knowledge of OO concepts
  • Working knowledge .NET 4.5/C#, ASP.Net MVC, JavaScript, JQuery, and Bootstrap
  • Understanding of the overall Microsoft Technology stack
  • Experience with SQL Server 2008 or equivalent
  • Comfortable using Visual Studio 2010/2012/2013

The position of Software Engineer I is focused on delivering customized solutions to customers and internal users. This requires collaborating with team members to design, develop, and install highly scalable desktop, web, and server-based applications. You will be part of a high performance software team responsible for delivering customized solutions to customers and internal users.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain internal and external web applications
  • Utilize programming languages and software technology, fully understanding and applying internal coding standards
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot production application issues
  • Document install features for product releases
  • Understand project requirements and translate them into design and application functionality
  • Work independently and in a group environment to deliver solutions according to project deadlines and requirements
  • Participate on assignments and projects by clarifying business requirements, performing application development and modification activities, as well as related maintenance and support
  • Clearly communicate updates and progress on deliverables upon request

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience



Field of Study/Area of Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline

1-3 years of experience in .NET/SQL
  • Working knowledge of OO concepts
  • Working knowledge .NET 4.5/C#, ASP.Net MVC, JavaScript, JQuery, and Bootstrap
  • Understanding of the overall Microsoft Technology stack
  • Experience with SQL Server 2008 or equivalent
  • Comfortable using Visual Studio 2010/2012/2013

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
