About this job
The Exercise Physiologist (activity based technician) provides a
direct supportive role in the delivery of therapy services -- primarily in the
Activity Based Therapy, Research and Community Fitness and Wellness Programs.
Education:
Minimum 60 credit hours completion toward degree in exercise science,
physiology, or health related field or two years of experience in patient care
or research in activity-based therapy or a human locomotor training setting
required. Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and basic
exercise science preferred.
Required
Experience: Six months patient care experience in a
health care facility preferred.
Licensure:
None required. Must obtain basic CPR, CITI, and HIPAA certification within
30 days of hire date.
Skills:
Clinical skills include the physical capacity to provide locomotor
training. Effective time management. Effective oral and written
communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required,
with PowerPoint preferred.
