About this job

This position encompasses several different duties.

Recruiting

  • Develop job descriptions in consultation with project managers
  • Post jobs on appropriate recruiting sites - including social media
  • Coordinate presence at industry and university job fairs

Human Resources

  • Prepare on-boarding packages for new employees
  • Work with accounting to get employee setup in system
  • Interface with benefits providers to provide employee information
  • Serve as first point of contact on basic questions from employees and put them in touch with appropriate benefits provider, accountant or management
  • Assist and train employees in filling out time sheets and expense reports.

Accounting

  • Monitor accurate and timely expense report and time sheet completion
  • Enter very basic information in accounting system

Logistics Support

  • Contact hotel, transportation, audio-visual, registration and other vendors and develop contracts
  • Provide on-site meeting support where necessary
    • Most meetings are in DC Metro area with occasional out-of-town meetings
  • Enter traveler reimbursements into Government's systems such as Concur
  • Verify spending on company credit cards

Office Management

  • Order supplies, building passes
  • Maintain inventory and logs of equipment and key supplies
  • Work with vendors to schedule repairs and maintenance

Work Plans & Proposals

  • Assist in developing meeting support work plans
  • Assist in formatting and word-processing sections of proposal documents
  • Assist in converting documents to comply with Section 508 of Rehabilitation Act

Research & Business Development

  • Research upcoming contracts on government and subscribed web sites
  • Research potential partner companies in strategic areas-in consultation with company management
  • Produce brochures in consultation with management
  • Email documents to select contracts and project officers
