TJX has an aggressive growth strategy that will propel our business to $40 billion and beyond in the next several years. To facilitate this growth our Human Resources organization initiated a transformation strategy to better support business stakeholders through greater efficiency and scalability. Our new model is based upon Centers of Expertise (COE), Human Resources Business Partners, Human Resources Operations and the Business working in partnership to fuel and sustain TJX growth objectives. We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our HomeGoods team.

Responsibilities:

The HRBP supports our HomeGoods Division. This role plays a key role in delivering HR strategies to support the business goals and objectives. This includes:
  • Contributes to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures and processes;
  • Supports line managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function/business strategy;
  • Implements appropriate employee training and manage its delivery;
  • Facilitates long-term initiatives aligned with the strategic agenda;
  • Helps the business unit leader to provide employees with development opportunities and ensure that they are able to meet current and future performance standards;
  • Develops and promotes feedback mechanisms for employees to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes;
  • Provides expert advice and coaching to employees when appropriate;
  • Reviews and benchmarks the internal and external environment to improve the HR policies and initiatives;
  • Identifies and drives the communication and sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement;
  • Acts as a liaison between the line and HR to ensure that HR services are aligned with internal client needs;
  • Identifies new opportunities where HR can add value to the business;
  • Maintains a knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends;
  • Manages and/or supports specific projects as determined in the annual HR operational plan and participates in functional and cross-functional initiatives.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of experience as an HRBP or HR Generalist;
  • Some experience managing people;
  • Experience managing an office and/or improving administrative systems;
  • Understanding of employment law;
  • HR certification recommended.
