This is a hands-on position for a Systems Engineer to serve as a member of multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, sales and service professionals designing, developing and delivering world class products and systems for the Life Science industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to solve complex technical problems in a variety of disciplines with creative, practical solutions. Using the latest hardware and software for robotics, automation, and control. This individual will play a key role in bringing products and system from concept to reality.

Responsibilities:
Work with mechanical, electrical and software engineers as a member of cross functional product development teams. Engage in all aspects of product design, configuration, integration, and commissioning
Develop and review requirements and design specifications and test plans and procedures
Be involved in, and implement continuous cost reduction and product improvement plans
Conduct/support integration testing, factory acceptance testing, on-site commissioning, and site acceptance testing
Identify and document issues and track them through to resolution
Some domestic and international travel may be required
Other duties as assigned
Working knowledge of robotics, automation and control systems
Systems level understanding and ability to debug automation systems and other complex technical systems
Ability to develop high quality requirements specifications, design specifications and test plans
Proficient with computers and basic business and engineering software; knowledge/practice with specialized softare for calculation, selection and simulation
Experience creating and understanding engineering models and drawings (SolidWorks and Pro-E preferred) is a plus
Ability to program in C, C++, C# and/or scripting languages a plus
Familiarity with UL and CE a plus
