Medical Biller

Our scientific client in Salem, MA is seeking multiple medical billers with at least one year of relevant experience

Job Description:

• Responsible for accurate claim submissions, accounts receivable follow-up, payment posting, EOB processing and posting, patient billing and payment posting, credit card processing, bad debt and collections.
• Register patients in billing system, entering all pertinent billing and related information necessary for the accurate and timely submission of claims
• Follow up with physician practices to retrieve missing patient demographic or insurance information
• Review, prepare, and accurately bill for assigned charges on a daily basis
• Prepare and submit claims to third party insurance carriers both electronically and manually
• Review EOB's from insurance payers for issues requiring follow up and resolution, such as unpaid claims and denials
• Conduct timely follow-up with insurance payers, patients, and facilities to obtain corrected/updated billing information

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Medical Certified program required.
• Associates degree is preferred
• Minimum of 6+ months third party medical billing and collections experience in healthcare industry
• Must have experience and knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology such as CPT and ICD9 /ICD10 codes and use of modifiers.
• Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred, but not required
