Sourcing Manager, Operations
Job Purpose:
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for the Operations procurement spend category, with a concentration in Real Estate Facilities & Construction ("RE F&C"), for the Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation ("HERC"). Working directly with business stakeholders and other team members to deliver continuous vendor cost, performance and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute sourcing projects for indirect operational spend (with a concentration in RE F&C; facility services, security monitoring services, fuel, waste, chemicals, etc.) to include; strategy development, preparation and facilitation of RFP's, supplier negotiations, business case recommendations, project management and contract execution Working collaboratively with business stakeholders and other team members to identify & implement cost, performance and process improvements within the HERC sourcing process Manage and measure supplier performance against contract (cost, service levels and usage), addressing supplier performance issues, one off and systemic Continuously assess market conditions within the indirect sourcing area of operations to take advantage of trends as they impact HERC buys.
Mandatory Requirements:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred Professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, PMP, etc.) preferred Professional Experience:
5 years of operations sourcing experience with a Fortune 500 company, a large service sector company or a large industrial manufacturing company Experience in designing & executing sourcing strategies that deliver measureable bottom line cost savings Experience in managing multiple, simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organizing/time management and problem solving skills Experienced negotiator, experience with negotiating agreements and contract terms Knowledge:
Knowledge of sourcing in operational areas (facility services, security monitoring services, fuel, waste, chemicals, etc.) and interdependencies Well-developed knowledge of sourcing and category management processes Working knowledge of contracts, risks and mitigation techniques Skills:
