Multi Skilled Technician - Packaging/Electro-Mechanical
Job Summary:
Position is responsible for diagnostics and repairs of mechanical and electrical problems to equipment. Specific tasks include adjustments, installations, fabrications and modifications of equipment to maintain and improve safety and quality of operational conditions or equipment efficiency. The employee will work with various equipment such as:
Packing Lines: Depalletizer, Palletizer, Filler, Capper, Valve Inserter, Coder, Labeler, Case Packer, Case Erector, Pucker, Depucker, Pumps, Compounding Mixers, Pumps, Pipes, Hydraulic Systems, Ventilation System, Steam Related Equipment, Boiler, HVAC, Compressed Air, Pipes, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Diagnose/ test equipment to correct malfunctions and make improvements to accommodate new product and/or improve safety, operational quality and productivity
* Perform Preventive, Corrective, Predictive and Breakdown Maintenance on the equipment
* Perform Breakdown Analysis (or use other Analysis tools) to identify root cause for breakdowns or other losses
* Train line team members and mechanics to diagnose problems and perform minor repairs and adjustment
* Develop TPM activities such as: Autonomous Maintenance Workshops, lead FI teams, or develop new activities, as assigned
Key Requirements:
* Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Associate Degree/College Degree in a related area preferred
* 3 years of electro-mechanical experience in high speed packaging environment needed to include the following: labeling, case erecting and loading, filling, conveyors
* Fluent in working on VFD's, using voltage meters, reading electrical / mechanical drawings
* PLC experience a plus
May lift over 10 pounds but under 50 pounds 20% of time worked.
