Security Officer

WHELAN SECURITY IS NOW HIRING

We are searching for bright and talented professionals to join our world-class security team! Starting rate for qualified candidates is $16/hour.

Our security positions are ideal for:

• Former, transitioning and military reserve personnel
• Former and future law enforcement officers
• Hospitality and customer service professionals
• College students

Duties include:

• Conduct security patrols of Client facilities
• Identify and report security breaches, safety concerns, or unusual circumstances.
• Perform access control and check in visitors and/or driver partners
• Generate written reports on daily duties, incidents, and security recordkeeping.
• Escort and monitor contractors/vendors as needed
• Provide security presence during company events
• Respond to emergencies and stressful situations
• Perform additional security duties as requested

Qualifications

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• At least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements
• Demonstrate a stable work history
• Pass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessment, interviews, and personality profile (behavioral assessment)

Candidates must also meet the additional requirements:

• High school diploma and 1-2 years of security/safety experience
• First Aid Certified
• Meet all Legal and vendor requirements to hold a position in the Security field, including passing all certifications and background checks
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written formats
• Deliver excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner
• Proficient iOS and PC operating system and software
• Ability to lift over 20 pounds and stand for extended periods of time

Education
