JOB SUMMARY: Perform special projects as assigned and also assist the operations team in daily activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Complete projects according to individual specifications Work with team members to communicate requirements of assigned projects Dispatch customer load tender requests Meet and / or beat assigned metrics and goals Handle customer load tracing requests Communicate effectively with vendors, and other Hub offices Develop strong professional relationships with vendors and assist them in all operations aspects Approve or deny accessorial charges to vendors MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a self-starter, and have the ability to communicate and interface effectively with all levels of the Hub organization, its customers and carriers in a manner that consistently produces results Significant customer service experience Knowledge of various Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Excel and Word Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Experience in the transportation industry is preferred but not required Enrolled in a transportation, logistics, or supply chain undergraduate degree program for the duration of the internship This position is a school year internship starting in September 2016 and ending in May 2017. All applicants must be able to work 20 hours a week and must be enrolled in an undergraduate program for the duration of the program. Hub Group is flexible on hours and days per school schedules.
