3M is seeking a Quality Supervisor for the Advanced Materials Division located in Salem NH. Ready to be part of what's next?

Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Quality Supervisor will primarily be responsible for leading and supporting both the plant quality systems and lab personnel for Thermoplastic Composite Helmet and Ceramic manufacturing at the Salem, New Hampshire facility.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Lead and support the development of the Salem plant quality systems (from incoming raw materials to finished goods testing) and related activities

- Lead and support the development and activities of the Salem plant quality personnel

- Coordinate product testing for routine plant production for quality control and compliance with internal and customer specs

- Coordinate annual testing for industry certifications and develop control plans to ensure product consistently meets those standards

- Coordinate product performance test and statistical analysis of the resulting data including but not limited to product and process capability, product aging analysis, and experimental analysis for process or product improvement

- Work with the Engineering team to identify test variation and improve Gage R&R for key properties, as well to build the supporting product Quality control plans, Quality inspection and specification documentation etc.

- Lead and maintain all corrective and preventative actions requests, as outlined by AdMD corporate quality management team

- Lead vendor SCAR process

- Work with the plant production, supporting manufacturing and engineering teams to reduce process variation and improve product performance

- Maintain and update testing capabilities with Audits and reviews of testing equipment and recommend upgrades and /or new test equipment where applicable

- Provide statistical consulting and advice to plant personnel

- Represent the Quality department during regulatory inspections and audits of the facility

- Managing costs, OT, optimized teams, using time well

- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma to further optimize the plant and processes

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelors' Degree or higher in Sciences and/or Engineering from an accredited university

- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Quality Assurance and/or Manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelors' Degree or higher in engineering and/or chemistry

- Previous supervisory experience

- Previous experience in a 6 sigma / Lean Environment

- A background in Statistics and/data analysis

- ASQC Certification

- Previous experience working and solving Problems

- Experience working in an environment of urgency and making decisions quickly

- Experience working with cross functional teams and customers

- Experience in documentation and report writing

- Experience interacting with suppliers and vendors

- Working knowledge of basic quality systems (ISO 9000, calibrations, audits, ASTM, etc)

Location: Salem NH

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation: Is authorized
