Providence is calling an Emergency Technician to Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA.

The ED Tech is a service-oriented individual providing a variety of nursing related and patient care services for patients in the Emergency Department.

In this position you will:

Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors

Take and record vital signs, height, weight and other applicable measurements

Perform treatment/procedures such as applying topical ointments, surgical skin preparations and application of ice packs and heat

Assist licensed staff in the preparation of patients for treatments/procedures

Required qualifications for this position include:

High School diploma or equivalent

Certified (NAC) certificate in Washington State

Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Certification as a Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P) within 90 days of hire

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificate or Nursing Assistant Health Care Assistant (HCA) certification

Experience in an acute care facility or an ambulatory setting

Experience in a fast-paced, emergency care environment
