Honeywell Building Solutions is looking for an Installation Technician Intern to work in the Saginaw, MI area.

Job Duties:

* Commissioning Control System

o Install pre-engineered software, checkout control systems, start-up and commission systems and fine tune their operations as per customer requirements or job specifications or both. Use productivity tools such as wireless commissioning to improve efficiency

o Be aware of Honeywell's scope of work and protect financial impact due to changes by supporting and obtaining change orders wherever appropriate

* Technical and Job Related Responsibilities

o Verify system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements including: testing, calibrating verify system and peripheral device operations as per preventative maintenance schedule

o Complete documentation of all work done, including all readings, offsets, etc.

o Maintain customer system documentation with any configuration or model changes

o Respond to emergency service calls as required

o Keep abreast of changes and new developments in product and preventive maintenance techniques

o Availability for and performance of duties outside of normal working hours as required

* Coordination with other trades and Customer/General Contractors/Mechanical Contractors as well as Honeywell engineering

o Coordinate work with other trades and upper tier contractors to accomplish Honeywell's commissioning task most effectively. Specifically work with installing contractor and ensure installation is completed per Honeywell's drawings and guidelines

o Support work with system balancer as necessary

* Customer Management

o Conduct basic system functional testing as required per contract

* Health and Safety

o Carry out site hazard and risk assessments for Honeywell tasks, including proper use of safety personal protection equipment.

* Administrative Responsibilities

o Be responsible for Honeywell assets such as tools, software, and site database.

o Keep documentation and paperwork up-to-date

* Other Requirements:

o Security and other clearances as required by customer

o Ability to travel throughout the service area, with occasional overnight stays.

o The successful candidate must have a driving record acceptable to Honeywell

Basic Qualifications:

* Pursuing a degree in Building automation, engineering, or related discipline

* Must be able to participate in an internship prior to graduation

Additional Qualifications:

* Knowledge of HVAC systems, control systems, mechanical system operation and building facilities

* Knowledge of fire alarm system codes, NFPA guidelines, devices used and functions for fire alarms applications

* Knowledge of security systems, access control, CCTV, digital video and controlling software

* Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and diagrams
