LePort Schools is seeking passionate, friendly, and caring Assistant Teachers to work in our multi-age Montessori classrooms!

All Assistant Teachers must have 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units if applying in the state of California.  **For a limited time only, LePort Montessori Schools is offering Financial ECE Scholarships.**  We believe in supporting passionate individuals with the opportunity to pursue their early childhood career goals by offering Financial ECE Scholarships to exceptional applicants.

This full time position requires a passionate and dedicated individual, with a love of children ages 0-6. This position will assist in one or more Montessori multi-age early childhood classrooms. Prior Montessori experience is not required. This role frequently begins as a full time Multi-Campus Floater, based at a specific campus, but may require travel to nearby campuses to provide coverage as needed. Once established in the position, many Multi-Campus Floaters transition into permanent classrooms, as soon as openings become available.

Are you a native Spanish-speaking or Mandarin-speaking individual? Please make sure to indicate this skill when you apply! We have beautiful Spanish and Mandarin immersion classrooms where your ability to speak Spanish or Mandarin will be a perfect fit for the environment.

About LePort Schools

LePort Schools was founded in 2000 as a small, family-run school, by a parent (Dr. LePort) who fell in love with the Montessori Method for his own children, and was dissatisfied with options that he felt were neither authentic to the Montessori philosophy nor professionally run. From these humble beginnings, LePort has embraced a mission of growth. We dream of bringing high-quality Montessori education to as many children as we possibly can in our lifetimes. From a few schools in Southern California, we have grown to other geographies, such as Northern California (San Francisco / Bay Area) and New York City. As much as we can, we want this vision to snowball and inspire others in the Montessori movement. This is an organization filled with energetic and ambitious people who want to take a brilliant vision, and make it a widespread reality.

We serve children from 3 months old (in our exceptional Nido environments) through 8th grade. Someday, we hope to include a high school / adolescent program.

As a happy side-effect of our mission of growth, our staff benefits from opportunities for individual career growth. Our best assistant teachers can apply for financial sponsorship to take Montessori training and become lead teachers. Our best head teachers can embrace opportunities for leadership, or even, in the most exceptional cases, become heads of school or pedagogical leaders supporting a family of a few schools. Teachers who transfer to new geographies may be able to remain a part of the LePort family by joining a school in a different location. There are so many career benefits that can flow from becoming a member of the LePort network.

LePort Schools offers a rich, robust community of like-minded individuals, together with competitive salaries and benefits packages (health insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, great paid time off, and a generous tuition discount). Because LePort has a strong summer program, we are also able to guarantee 12-month employment.

Come grow with us!
