Client in Delano is seeking a Receptionist.

Receptionist position will provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. Candidate will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional clerical duties. The Receptionist will be expected to have the switchboard open and operating promptly at 8:00 a.m. and throughout the day until 5:00 p.m. Relief switchboard coverage will be provided for a one-hour lunch, as well as morning and afternoon breaks of 10 minutes each. The Receptionist should work with relief coverage to determine appropriate times for lunch and breaks.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones and direct callers to appropriate associate.
  • Transfer caller to an associate's voice mailbox when the associate is unavailable.


• Greet and direct visitors as needed.

• Take and retrieve messages for various personnel.

• Provides callers with appropriate information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website, and other related information.

• Receive, sort and forward incoming mail, maintain and route publications.

• Coordinate pick-up and delivery of mail and express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)

• Assist in ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies.

• Assist with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating.

• Open and close visitor area (locking doors, closing blinds, turning off lights)

• Assist Accounts Payable with Invoices, Deposits, Filing, Mail, Coding, and other items upon request

Requirements

Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).

6 months of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Possession of strong organizational skills.
