Insurance Agency near Farmingdale has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Administrative Assistant.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills. Expertise in Microsoft office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) are required. Previous experience in the insurance industry is a plus!

Hours: Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm

Main responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Assists management in the coordination of organizational administration activities
  • Drafts, prepares and distributes correspondence, memos, and other documents and reports, which require the use of office technologies and software applications
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings, conferences, travel arrangements and maintains group or manager's business calendar
  • May perform additional duties as assigned


Skill, Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant
  • High School Diploma/GED; 2 year college degree preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners and staff at all levels
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and other business related software systems
  • Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry a huge plus

Salary is $35,000 - $40,000 contingent upon prior experience
