We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Sales Representative.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Requirements

Basic Function



Grow the business by acquiring customers through the process of conducting sales call to evaluate and identify the condition of a home and assign an accurate price.



Primary Responsibilities




  1. Obtain new Merry Maids customers for weekly, biweekly, monthly, or one time cleaning service.

  2. Conduct sales calls during the day, evening, or weekends in assigned territory.

  3. Professionally and accurately present Merry Maids service to prospective customers.

  4. Arrive on time for all sales appointments.

  5. Accurately record all rooms and items to be cleaned, writing the correct descriptions for the home.

  6. Determine the price for cleaning services using company pricing instructions.

  7. Advise customers about other available Merry Maids services.

  8. Follow up on all leads for Merry Maids service with letters, e-mails, faxes, or telephone calls. Maintain prospect and customer call back files.

  9. Deal courteously with customers. Report any unusual request from customers or questions that you cannot answer to your supervisor.

  10. Keep equipment and vehicle clean and in good working condition.

  11. Review the service report with Team Members before they clean a new customer’s home.

  12. Contact customers after the service is performed to ensure customer satisfaction and to develop additional prospects.

  13. Monitor and inventory sales material.

  14. Maintain sales activity records.



Secondary Responsibilities




  1. Participate in public relations and promotional efforts as required.

  2. When necessary, fill in during staff absences.

  3. At all times contribute to a positive work climate and to the overall team effort of the company.

  4. Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned or requested.



Supervision Responsibility




  1. Field/Support Person Supervisory

  2. Operations Mgmt.

  3. Staff Mgmt



Essential Qualifications




  1. Speaking and hearing English clearly in person and on the telephone.

  2. Reading English on an average adult level.

  3. Writing English clearly.

  4. Establishing rapport with customers and employees.

  5. Excellent communication skills and good listening skills.

  6. Responsible, organized, and persistent.



Special Requirements




  1. Ability to use a computer.

  2. Ability to drive personal car to several locations throughout the workday.

  3. Ability to handle objections and criticism.
