A successful Senior Editor will have the following:
- 5+ years of work experience in the media/entertainment space
- Interest and enthusiasm for television content across genres and a demonstrated ability to write knowledgeably about it
- Background in editorial management
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- Strong editorial planning and quality control skills
- Writing experience with clips/posts that reflect a strong writing style
The Senior Editor is primarily responsible for overseeing the publication and ongoing upkeep of the Sling TV site (sling.com) and blog (blog.sling.com), which promotes the service with a strong focus on partner content.
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
- Managing a team of social and blog contributors
- Contributing to the blog
- Sourcing and evaluating editorial opportunities with programming partners and internal teams
- Overseeing timely content updates across editorial channels
- Develop editorial collaborations with programming partners
