JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Scope

Operate car carriers in loading, transporting and unloading vehicles to and from auction sites and customer premises and driving vehicles through sale lane. Operate automotive service truck in providing assistance for disabled vehicles. This is a part-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle loading on to car carrier (semi tractor trailer, roll back truck and/or tow truck) in a safe, damage free manner

• Operate car carrier in transport of vehicle loads to assigned locations observing all traffic regulation and safe driving practices

• Conduct vehicle unloading from car carrier in a safe, damage free manner

• Respond to service calls by driving truck to disabled vehicle and performing emergency vehicle service as required

• Perform basic mechanical and preventive maintenance and stock service truck

• Drive vehicles through auction sale lanes on designated sale days as assigned

• Complete all required documentation associated with vehicle transport or service

• Observe all safety and health procedures

Qualifications

Education & Specialized Knowledge

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Valid CDL Class A driver's license

• Safe driving record

• Able to work varied hours as required

• Ability to sit and drive for prolonged periods of time

• Physical ability to load and unload vehicles on carrier

• Experience 1 to 3 years of experience driving a service, tow, or rollback truck required

• Experience loading and unloading cars on a car hauler including chaining, operating hydraulics, etc.
