Accounts Payable / Allocation Analyst - Full-time / Part-time

Position:

Payables / Allocation Analyst

Location:

Springfield Gardens, NY (near JFK)

Main Purpose:

Payment and Allocation of Suppliers Invoice to External and Internal Customers

Job Role:

• Ensure that invoices are submitted on a timely basis

• Confirm that invoice amounts are correct including charges and relevant taxes and ensure all expected charges from agents and/or any other charges are calculated accurately and liaising with other department and other offices when needed

• Code and get approval from Managers

• Input invoices in payables software in a timely manner

• Review of Gross Margin to make sure of correctness of invoice allocation and costs estimated and highlight or taking corrective active to any profit or loss outside the normal margin

• Identifying and reviewing cost variances against tariffs and estimates to Accounts Manager

• Liaising with suppliers in securing credit notes for overcharges, obtaining copy invoices etc.

• Ad hoc duties as required

Candidate Requirements:

• The successful candidate will be highly organized, dedicated, professional, motivated and a good communicator

• 3-5 years’ experience in Excel with knowledge of pivot tables and vlookups

• Must demonstrate desire to learn and to be able to quickly formulate independent thinking and strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues

• Strong analytical skills

• Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree

• Accounting and Finance background
