Meritage Hospitality Group is getting ready to open their brand new flagship Casual Dining restaurant, WHEELHOUSE KITCHEN & COCKTAILS, an all new American Bistro featuring seasonal recipes and artisan cocktails inspired by our Chef’s ongoing partnership with local suppliers. We have several new openings for energetic, service-driven Dishwashers to help our restaurant teams and provide our guests with a sanitary and presentable dining experience by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation. Our Dishwashers key responsibility is to thoroughly wash and neatly store all of the serving ware, cookware and utensils utilized in food preparation and service.

POSITION SUMMARY
Job Title: Dishwasher
Reports to: Kitchen Manager
Location: Downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: This is an entry-level position, but previous Dishwasher experience is a plus
Skills and Abilities: Customer service experience in a fast paced upscale environment and ability to read, write, comprehend instructions and speak in English.
Growth Potential: Starting as a Dishwasher is a great entry-level position to work toward the next level BOH or FOH role

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Thoroughly and efficiently washing dishes, pots, cookware and utensils in compliance with restaurant standards.
- Responsible for delivering clean cookware and serving ware to their proper storage places
- Responsible for keeping storage areas neat and orderly.
- Perform according to HACCP, OSHA and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working in the back of house, primarily in the dishwashing and cleaning stations. Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions. This role will require some physical demand including standing, walking, bending, and lifting/carrying up to 25lbs.
