POSITION PURPOSE
Senior Operations Business Analysts are responsible for leading small to medium subsets of larger projects and initiatives and individual processes that bring value to The Home Depot. They must possess a high level of analytical ability to distinguish multiple components of a problem and develop conclusions using quantitative skills. As a part of the Customer Care organization this role is responsible for the technical development of reports and analytically for conveying data trends and anomalies to leaders.  Key responsibilities include but are not limited to report development, root cause analysis, effective communication to teams and other leaders, and identifying business trends. A successful Senior Operations Business Analyst will possess and demonstrate strong leadership skills, analytical ability, and communication.  


MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead Project Teams of Analysts and other associates Perform data gathering tasks, synthesis - develop solutions, project/strategy planning and data utilization Produce documents for teams and leadership to review and utilize. Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors Build skills and knowledge including self-development, team knowledge and customer (internal) knowledge. Deliver presentations to teams and executive leaders and sponsors.

NATURE AND SCOPE
Typically reports to Store Operations Process Manager or Store Operations Business Manager (or Sr. Managers) No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must pass the Drug Test.

Must pass the Background Check.

Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable. 

EDUCATION REQUIRED
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 3

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Experience working with data warehouses and databases is required. Strong SQL skills are required.

Experience designing Business Intelligence/ Analytics solutions leveraging Teradata.

Manages projects from beginning to end, working closely with business partners and end-users

Develops project plans and workflows, managing time and resources

Develop programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data.

Develop and improve existing reports and data interfaces using Talend.

Develop business intelligence tools or systems, including design or related databases, spreadsheets, or outputs.

Develop standard or custom reports summarizing business, financial, or operational data for review by executive leaders, clients, and other stakeholders.

Strong quantitative skills such as statistics and data analysis and modeling.

Strong presentation skills

Establish reporting standards and best practices.

Architect and implement a reporting framework.

Collaborate with stakeholders and end-users to determine requirements.

Data cleansing/validation, analysis, stored procedures & triggers, and report generation.

Advanced technical skills in DB2/SQL, Teradata, Tableau, Visual Basic, Salesforce reporting, and Microsoft Office

A Master's Degree is preferred. (5 years of work experience is preferred)
