Cosmetologist - Part-time

Primary Responsibility:

Primary responsibility is to provide a world class spa & salon experience to guest/visitor in a timely manner. Maintain impeccable cleanliness of salon and facial area. Keep the treatments and styles cutting edge and trend setting. Perform various skin care treatment protocols for guests, ensure positive/friendly customer relations, and to perform all assigned functions/duties in accordance with established guidelines/procedures. Perform Manicures and Pedicures for guests and handle all guest interactions in a professional and courteous manner.

Essential Job Functions:

• Full working understanding of standards.
• Maintain complete knowledge of:

  All hotel features/ services, hours of operation

  All Salon, Hair and Nails Services

  Hair Product Line

  Skin Care Product Line

  Retail Items

• Ability to focus attention on guests needs.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned/requested.
• Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the Spa.
• Ability to maintain Departmental Standards.  Have complete knowledge and comply with resort and departmental policies and procedures.
• Knowledge and ability to sell salon and skin care products.
• Ability to keep all Salon and Facial areas clean.
• Attention to detail.
• Requires a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
• Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
• Performs all practical/signature services; including; but not limited to, waxing, and body treatments.
• Ability to anticipate guests needs.
• Follows all regulations in accordance with State Board of Cosmetology.
• Works under minimal supervision, completing assigned tasks in a timely fashion
• Ensures all equipment and work areas are kept clean/sanitized, neat, stocked, and orderly at all times.
• Ascertain 100% guest satisfaction.

General Skills/Qualifications

•               Cosmetology License from the State Board of Cosmetology; current and in good standing.

•               Two (2) years of previous experience as a Cosmetologist in a resort, medical, or day spa environment, preferred.

•               Must be a service minded individual with a positive attitude who truly enjoys helping others.

•               Must be quick on their feet and adept at handling stressful situations seamlessly.
