Description

The Associate Customer Marketing Manager will work within the Fountain Foodservice department, reporting to the FFS Customer Marketing Manager.

The mission of the role is to grow sales and improve brand equity and loyalty for DPSG and account partners through insights-fueled marketing and merchandising initiatives to convert shoppers into buyers.

The Associate Customer Marketing Manager will proactively identify new business opportunities or potential risks and consistently deliver creative and cost efficient solutions that benefit the business.The role requires a self-starter that is a results-oriented, analytical thinker with strong project management skills. This individual will bring analytically-rigorous, solution-based thinking, and creativity to promotion development and management.

This role is office based in our Plano, TX headquarters and requires 20% travel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Dr Pepper Snapple Group's (DPSG) field sales to convert insights into account-specific in-store marketing plans with the intent to influence and change purchasing behavior of specific guests and increase beverage and overall sales.
  • Bolster DPSG brand equity and loyalty through the development of innovative immediate consumption programs that align with DPSG’s broader commercial objectives and cross-functional capabilities.
  • Cultivate partnerships with cross-functional teams in our company which includes; shopper insights, marketing, legal, category management, sales, customers, as well as internal and external agencies.
  • Look for ways to simplify or optimize account foodservice marketing processes that will drive business results for DPSGs total brand portfolio in profitable channels and priority categories.


How You’ll Spend Your Time:

  • Strategic Planning : Collaborate with DPSG field sales to write strategic business plans for top accounts by leveraging account and consumer insights, DPSG brand plans, and channel & category strategy. Command a high level of persuasion and influence by demonstrating excellent communication skills to deliver presentations, initiatives and program ideas to accounts. Foster growth of underdeveloped accounts to drive results through new business, traffic, and incidence tactics.
  • Analytics : Empower DPSG field sales to pursue an array of selling opportunities. Work with category management, shopper & consumer insights and other teams and mine internal, external, primary and secondary data resources. Analyze and translate insights into sales narrative & actionable marketing plans. Provide subject matter expertise for all marketing programs and insights information. Implement pre and post program ROI analysis to determine if account and sales objectives were met or how they can be improved/optimized in the future.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Focus on building and maintaining marketing, product development, and insights relationships (among others) with key customers. Collaborate with field sales to develop and maintain adequate call coverage (who/frequency)
  • Activation – Local/Regional Accounts: Manage all aspects of marketing program development and merchandising materials to include, but not limited to, ideation, creative, program delivery, activation and fulfillment. Write creative briefs that give insightful direction to program teams and agencies that deliver sales results. Actively collaborate with FFS Marketing Coordinator to ensure integration of all elements of marketing mix, driving cohesive and impactful messaging, and trademark consistency in all communications.
  • Budget / Accountability Management : Management of marketing program budgets (sales-owned) and T&E expenses within guidelines. Keep all tracking documents current.
  • Coaching and Professional Development :Collaborate with FFS Marketing colleagues to provide ongoing education for coworkers and FFS Field Sales. Increase exposure within the organization through increased responsibility in data management as well as participation in market research and focus groups. Coach and mentor the FFS Marketing Coordinator.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a focus on Marketing, Business or similar
  • 3 years of progressive consumer marketing, sales, or agency experience preferably with a packaged goods company or within the foodservice industry
  • 3 years of MS Office products
