Requirements

Purpose of Hourly Partner Positions: Contribute to the success of restaurant operations by meeting or exceeding standards, policies, and procedures in People, Product, Property, and Profit. Operations includes, but is not limited to, delivering uncompromising guest service, ensuring product and food quality excellence, maintaining cash handling, safety and cleanliness standards. Position Overview and Responsibilities: For all Hourly Partner Positions, employees are required to execute specific positional and/or job responsibilities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Policies, and applicable laws. Employees may be cross-trained on one or more of the positions listed below. * Barista Ensure all Cosi food and beverage products are displayed, stocked, stored, and prepared according to specifications at all times; follow cash handling policies and procedures; quickly enter transactions into point-of-sale system to meet standard; actively promote CosiCard usage to guests; participate in sales building activities; provide uncompromising customer service to guests. Perform other job related duties as assigned. * Head Cashier In addition to executing Barista responsibilities, a Head Cashier is responsible for completing approved transactions on the Front-of-House Point-of-Sale system limited to specific discounts, promotions, and entree or beverage comps, according to the cash handling policy and Standard Operating Procedures. * Baker Ensure all Cosi food items are prepared according to the recipe and quality standards at all times including, but not limited to, signature bread, bagels and pizzas; regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds; adhere to production standards; handle knife and kitchen equipment properly and according to safety policies using Personal Protective Equipment (cut glove) as required; operate and clean the oven according to specifications; set up, stock and maintain baker workstation according to specifications. Perform other job related duties as assigned. * Prep Ensure all Cosi food and beverage products are stocked, stored, rotated, and prepared according to recipe guide and quality standards; adhere to production standards; handle knife and kitchen equipment properly and according to safety policies using Personal Protective Equipment (cut glove) as required; follow cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation procedures. Perform other job related duties as assigned. * Oven Line Ensure all Cosi food products including, but not limited to; bagels, omelets, wraps, soups, salads, sandwiches, melts, pizzas, are displayed, stocked, stored, and prepared according to recipe guide and quality standards; quickly produce high quality products according to presentation guidelines and portion chart; follow cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation procedures. Handle knife and kitchen equipment according to safety policies as required. Perform other job related duties as assigned. * Service Expeditor Ensure all Cosi food and beverages are prepared according to recipe guide and quality standards; facilitate and expedite the flow of food and beverages to guests; ensure prompt and accurate delivery to Guests; set up, stock and maintain service expo workstation and dining room according to specifications. Perform other job related duties as assigned. * DMO/Utility Maintain the appearance of the dining room, bathrooms, and kitchen; clean dishware, machinery, floors and tables according to standard; sweep, mop and change garbage frequently; follow cleaning schedule; handle knife and kitchen equipment properly and according to safety policies using Personal Protective Equipment (cut glove) as required; follow cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation procedures. Perform other job related duties as assigned. * Catering/Production Ensure all Cosi catering items are displayed, stocked, stored, and prepared according to specifications at all times including, but not limited to, baskets, platters, boxed lunches, salads, and beverages; handle knife and kitchen equipment properly and according to safety policies using Personal Protective Equipment (cut glove) as required; follow cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation procedures; follow cash handling policies and procedures; participate in sales building activities; provide uncompromising customer service to guests. Perform other job related duties as assigned. * Delivery Ensure all Cosi catering items are prepared, displayed and delivered according to specifications at all times including, but not limited to, baskets, platters, boxed lunches, salads, and beverages; follow cash handling policies and procedures; participate in sales building activities; provide uncompromising customer service to guests; adhere to local, state, and federal traffic laws; provide documentation necessary in accordance with Catering section of Standard Operating Procedure Manual and Delivery Driver policies, if applicable. Perform other job related duties as assigned. * Repair Partner: The skilled Repair Partner will be responsible for performing repairs in the restaurants as needed. Said repairs may include but are not limited to light carpentry, flooring, drywall repair, painting, patching, minor plumbing, etc. Said duties not to include electrical work. Must be able to make on-the-the spot decisions for the benefit of the company and our guests. Perform other job related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: * Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required. * Ability to learn quickly. * Ability to accept and follow clear directions. * Ability to adhere to standard operating procedures. * Excellent customer service skills. * Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in the English language as required for interaction with guests and coworkers, to perform positional job responsibilities and follow Standard Operating Procedures, and to take direction. * Highly organized with strong attention to detail. * Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills. * Positive attitude. * Ability to be punctual and work scheduled hours including day, night, weekend, and holiday hours, if applicable.
