The Manager of Compliance will manage a team responsible for monitoring changes with internal laws and regulations to ensure compliance with State and Federal guidelines. This individual will be responsible to establish, mandate and implement standard policies, procedures and best practices across the company to promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations. They will conduct state-specific legal research and monitor changes in requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance.
Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinate the execution of audits performed by our clients, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and regulatory/government agencies (CMS, OIG, GAO)
Working with the Business Owners and the Auditors to:

Determine the appropriate scope, timing and logistics of the audits
Prepare audit requests as required
Monitor audit progress and resolve potential findings as appropriate
Validate and respond to audit findings
Develop and monitor corrective actions
Develop a consistent audit process to ensure all outside audits are effectively managed
Perform monitoring reviews to obtain assurance on compliance
Plan and executing operational and regulatory audits of various areas within the company
Analyze the root cause of issues and helping to develop appropriate action plans
Develop audit reports that accurately summarize the results of reviews
Assist with various projects related to SOX/SAS, Internal Audits and special projects as directed by the VP of Audit

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience

5+ years of experience in audit (operational, financial, and/or IT related)

3+ years of healthcare operations experience in billing, enrollment, reconciliation and/or call center and experience with Medicare Part D and Medicaid

3+ years experience with HIPAA, state and privacy laws

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Superior analytical, organizational and problem solving skills

Strong project management skills

Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously while meeting department productivity standards

Must work well under tight timelines and adapt to change in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications:


Project Management experience

Supervisory experience

Experience leading and implementing a comprehensive compliance program

Experience working with Healthplan, PBM or regulatory agency

Experience with CMS standards

CPA, CIA and/or CISA certification
