Shrubs and Tree Propagator

Hatchett Creek Farms, LLC is a leader in providing a nationwide market with young plants. It recently expanded its tropical line with the addition of shrubbery and tree liner production. We need experienced assistance in accomplishing this growth and facilitating future growth as well.

Job Responsibilities:

A propagation asst. supervisor not only leads team members in a successful, on-time completion of the production of liners and seedlings but directly participates as well. It is a hands on position. Growing of finished plants is also accomplished. The person interfaces directly with the office and provides a detailed information conduit with both the office and the work areas. Work includes but is not limited to:

-Working knowledge of shrub and tree taxonomy.

-Maintains knowledge of current orders, speculation direction and future plans.

-Have working knowledge and accomplishes year-round propagation and growth of shrubs and trees.

-Have working knowledge of all systems on the site including irrigation, mist systems, heating and cooling, pest management, pumps and electrical etc.

- Be familiar with Microsoft Excel and hand-held tablets.

-Accomplish a periodic inventory of all plants.

-Make sure all plants or plant areas are properly tagged.

-Pruning, trimming and weeding both on and offsite.

-Have knowledge of marketing, customers and the regional needs of shrubbery and tree growers.

-Spanish bilingual a plus.

-Valid and clean Florida driver's license and clean criminal history.

-Pre-employment drug test screen.

-Scouts for pests and diseases.
