As a Business / QA Analyst for the State of New Jersey BDW Project, you will be responsible understanding and analyzing all aspects of contractually required services and deliverables for the NJ BDW project. You will be a business specialist and QA analyst, analyzing requirements and testing reports/data with colleagues and business clients.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for the quality assurance of reporting and analytics components of the solution, including Tableau dashboards and other SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) tools
Work closely with product owners and developers to translate business requirements into test plans; work with resources to investigate and resolve issues
Responsible for support of an enterprise quality assurance program, working with NJ BDW data governance committee resources to continuously discover and remediate source data issues through time
Provide key input into project planning, estimation and task prioritization
Responsible for producing evidence of completion for all line items on the requirements traceability matrix (RTM) requiring quality assurance review
Look for ways to improve the overall quality of the development process, and serve as an advocate for high quality standards
Advocate and execute on automated testing principles to allow for rapid regression testing of all components of the solution
 
*Please note that this position is based in Trenton, NJ area. Telecommuting is not an option for this position.
 

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of Data Warehouse / BI Experience
2+ year’s health care data experience.
2+ years of experience with SQL
3+ years of experience with Business Analysis
2+ years of experience gathering and documenting requirements from the client/business 
2+ years of data analysis experience using one or more of the following BI Tools: Tableau, Cognos, Business Object, SAS or ESRI  
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Master Data Management concepts
Experience with data quality/profiling tools in support of data quality program initiatives
Cognos Experience
Test automation experience
Experience with HP ALM
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Deep knowledge of testing methodologies and software development life cycle
Passionate about data; obsessive about data quality
