Home Instead Senior Care in Rancho Cucamonga is looking for an On-Call Staff Coordinator to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community. This is a key position that requires performing a variety of on-call duties and working closely with Staffing and Service Coordinators.

Home Instead Senior Care provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Answer all calls after hours (4:30 pm to 8 am) Monday - Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday, 7 days a week. This position at this time is three weeks on, one week off. This position will also require you to help out in the office during regular business hours as needed.
  • Prior to the start of the on-call shift, review schedules with designated Staff Coordinators and become aware of any potential trouble spots that might arise.
  • Make sure you have all resources needed for on call responsibilities such as laptop, internet connection and phone; along with any paper resources deemed necessary.
  • Answering each incoming call in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner and respond quickly to their needs.
  • Fill all shifts by following designated office scheduling processes.
  • Communicate changes in shifts to the Client(s) and CAREGiver(s) in ClearCare.
  • Fill in on assignments that come open until a replacement CAREGiver is found.
  • Communicate client and CAREGiver concerns or problems to the designated key player.
  • Monitor and log both client and CAREGiver activities and follow up on CAREGiver assignments and Client services in ClearCare.
  • Field new client & CAREGiver inquiries over the phone in a knowledgeable manner and help Client Care Coordinators schedule care consultations.
  • Track all calls and email summaries of the activities of your shift to the designated key player(s).
  • Demonstrate open and effective communication with owner, colleagues, Clients and CAREGivers.
  • Assist the Staffing department as needed with CAREGiver and Client Intros, Care Consultations and QA visits.

 Requirements:

  • High school diploma and valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass DOJ background check.
  • 2+ years experience in customer service. Previous staffing experience is highly recommended.
  • Excellent phone skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to problem solve effectively with compassion and ingenuity.
  • Internet connection at home.
