Shift Leader - Full-time / Part-time

We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Shift Leader.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

Job Summary:  Responsible for maintaining the store and assisting the manager where needed. Handles any complaints that may occur and provides guidance when necessary. Possesses excellent communication skills and is a team player.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Responsible for aiding the manager and assistant manager with tasks and duties.

Maintains the store when the manager is away and offers support to staff where needed.

Follows and implements store policies and procedures.

Greets customers in a pleasant manner and exerts exceptional customer service.

Handles the cash register when assistance is needed and is certain to ID for tobacco and alcohol.

Maintains the appearance and working order of the store.

Conducts a walk around the complex and cleans any debris from the area.

Answers the store phone within the first couple of rings.

Stocks the coolers and dry shelves with the assistance of staff members.

Assists the Deli Coordinator in completing orders when necessary and stocks products.

Handles any complaints that may occur and offers advice and guidance to employees.

Performs other duties as requested.

Education and Training Required:

Must have a high school diploma or a GED.

Experience Requirements:

Six months of food and retail experience preferred, but not required.

Must have strong communication skills and must be detail oriented.

Special Requirements:

May be required to work holidays, weekends, overtime, or during hours other than those, which are considered as the normal work schedule.

Physical Demands:

Standing for extended periods of time.

Requires frequent bending and reaching.

Requires lifting 10-20 pounds of weight frequently and lifting or maneuvering up to 50 pounds of regularly.

Requires walking around the complex on a daily basis.
