Assemblers/Welders NEEDED NOW

In a safe manner, construct, assemble and/or pack out parts or products to company specification. Verify conformance of parts utilizing quality tools and checks. May also perform a variety of supply functions to stage, load and remove materials no longer needed at the production station or to set up for future production using non motorized hand-pushed carts/conveyances or hand jack. Exercise independent judgment in accepting or rejecting parts/units according to quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

*    Read and follow schedules in order to assemble and/or pack out product, while following standard work processes and adhering to all quality standards and safety rules.   *    Maintain a work pace that supports production goals.  *    Rotate through other work cell operator positions on a routine or as needed basis.     *    Perform quality checks according to standard worrk.     *    Perform TPM procedures as required on specified equipment, maintain clean work area and follow 6S guildelines. *    Identifies and implements improvement opportunities related to parts flow, presentation, storage and handling.  Conduct visual inspection of parts prior to delivery.      *    Perform rework of product or parts as necessary to maintain quality standards and customer requirements. *    Follow standard work for Work Cell Operator; suggest and document improvements to standard work. *    Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.        

Education Required: 

No formal education required.  However must be able to:

*    add/subtract/multiply/divide decimals and fractions.

*    read (standard work, handbook, Job Safety Analysis, etc.) and interpret charts, schedules/production logs and simple drawings
