Business Analyst - Billing Systems

A successful Business Analyst -Billing Systems will have the following:

• Bachelors degree and two years  of related experience; or three to five years of related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Telecom, Cable or Satellite billing system experience required
• Familiarity with the CSG Systems’ CCS/ACP software package or like software packages for the satellite, cable and/or telecommunications industry for video, data and voice is a plus
• Most posses a high level of self-initiative, drive and motivation, along with organizational skills
• Must be able to effectively communicate across all departments across the organization from highly technical development staff to executive stakeholders
• Must possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced, changing environment. Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with peers and third party vendors
• SQL skills, financial reporting analysis skills, and video, data and voice billing system configuration skills highly desirable

DISH has an opportunity for a Business Analyst - Billing Systems who works closely with IT Program Managers, business partners, and IT technical resources to plan and execute billing system tasks for business as usual activities and enterprise software releases.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

• CSG billing system configuration, macros, passers, tax parameters including configuration, security profile parameters and maintenance, production tickets, software defect tickets, requirements gathering and SDLC management for billing system software enhancements, deployment activities for CSG software releases, and SQL queries
• Assists business partners with drafting billing system requirements/enhancements and configuration changes and supports these requests during internal/external meetings with DISH’s internal IT software configuration team, IT business liaisons, IT developers, IT project managers and CSG Systems’ analysts
• Performs analysis to identify/verify production application issues, provides solutions and co-ordinates auditing to validate process success on large and complex CSG configuration projects. Supports, reviews and/or approves testing scripts, in order to validate test results
• Performs ongoing auditing of configuration requests to validate process success. Performs analysis to identify/verify production application issues; determines solutions for production application issues and manages project plans until resolution
• Manages solution execution, organizes deployment and/or support actions required in response to deployment issues
• Provides application and process subject matter expertise for business partners and IT technical resources. Updates SOX process documentation quarterly, as required; completes quarterly SPOQ questionnaires, as required and performs/monitors required SOX controls
