About this job
Inspections Technician main responsibility will be the manual inspection of final packaging, commercial pharmaceutical products and components using cGMP standards while maintaining the production schedule
Responsibilities:
- Execute written procedures for performing manual visual inspection of empty vials, diluents, and drug product with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Accurately complete detail-oriented, process-related documentation (i.e.: work-in-process, vial and component inventories and equipment logs).Adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures and proactively identify unsafe conditions.
- Perform safety and housekeeping audits as required.
- Assist in set up, change over, and test run equipment for various-sized vials and packages as required.
- Perform training of other Technicians.
- Assist in the development of plant SOP's and training materials
- Execute production recipes, check-in equipment, and perform material movements using automated computer software applications (SAP and MES systems).
Requirements:
- Inspection personnel must be able to inspect continuously for 2 hours periods and detect visual characteristics without the benefit of a magnifier of any kind during manual inspections
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time loading/ unloading of product from equipment and movement of materials
- Proficiency in the English language - reading, writing, and communication.
- Must be available for required overtime as needed.
- Must be able to lift 45 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality environment including but not limited to: inspections and GMP requirements to perform essential functions of the job.
- Must re-qualify every year on all job-related tests and certifications as job or qualifications require.
- All candidates must pass a vision acuity and color discrimination test.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelors Degree or Associates preferred in any science related field (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc).
