The Sr. Retirement Analyst assists members of the Wealth Team with day to day plan administration responsibilities and collaborates with internal and external parties to satisfy, maintain and improve participant experiences. 
 
Responsible for  all aspects of day to day plan administration including: researching, analyzing and resolving benefit issues; researching and analyzing payroll and recordkeeping reports; responding to employee service requests;  assisting with annual plan audits and nondiscrimination testing; participant transactions including contributions, loans, distributions, etc.; reconciliation of payroll; coordinating participant communication, education and training activities and campaigns; reporting on program effectiveness; merger activities regarding acquired plans; implementation of changes to existing plans; and program reporting. 
 
Works in partnership with human capital, legal, finance, accounting, payroll, communications, information technology, and other company professionals. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:


Responsible for day to day plan operations of company qualified and nonqualified retirement plans.

Responsible for program compliance with company policies and controls and with the laws, regulations and rules issued or enforced by state, Federal and foreign regulatory authorities on the subject of retirement plan administration, reporting, disclosures and filing requirements.

Ensure program policies, procedures, and provisions are effective, understood and followed.  Recommends changes to reduce incidence of error.

Resolves program issues. Ensures consistent application of provisions and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Escalates issues to management team as needed to assure prompt and accurate resolution.

Researches, analyzes and resolves non-standard benefits issues and responds to escalated employee service requests.

Assists with annual plan audits and nondiscrimination testing.

Works with team members on the implementation of new plans, program features and changes to plans and/or administrative procedures.

Interacts with third-party vendors and internal team to ensure appropriate levels of performance.  Liaise with the payroll department in regard to program data and administration.

Works with business partners and human capital team members as needed to identify education and training needs. Coordinates benefit education and training initiatives.

Responsible for plan reporting and analysis.

Identifies change needs and assists with the review and testing of related materials and systems.

Coaches, provides feedback and guides others.

Acts as a resource for those with less experience. 

Works with minimal guidance, seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks. 

Participates in wealth team special projects.

Stays up-to-date on trends and developments related to qualified and nonqualified retirement plans.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

Minimum four years benefit plan experience including: plan sponsor, consulting, or administration experience with qualified retirement plans

Technical knowledge of administrative practices and all pertinent federal and state regulations affecting retirement programs

Strong interpersonal, communication and collaborative team skills. Ability to effectively interact with and influence all levels of internal and external business partners

Strong consultative, facilitation, and project management skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment

Proven organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong knowledge of MS-Office tools - Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint

Ability to work in a team environment with a client service focus

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion

Strong analytical skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively and handle multiple deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:


Professional designation (CEBS)

Minimum two years plan sponsor, consulting, or administration experience with nonqualified plans

Experience in a complex matrixed Fortune 100 organization
