Quik Shoppe Food Service Principal Duties and Expectations:

A Food Service team member at Quik Shoppe first and foremost must have excellent customer service skills, be willing to learn, and be highly dependable and be a team player. Responsibilities include: provide fast, friendly customer service; Serve customers with a smile; Up-sell products & specials; Work as a team to prepare breakfast, lunch, & dinner;  assist with keeping the kitchen and equipment clean and sanitized; wash & clean dishes, sweep, mop & assist in maintaining clean restrooms; work with raw chicken daily; Ensure that proper food handling procedures are followed including labeling, dating, stocking, rotating & maintaining safe temperatures of products; Occasionally lift 40 pounds; consistently lift 10-15 pounds; Adhere to our company uniform policy and present a neat, clean & professional appearance at all times.

Spivey Enterprises operates a chain of food service establishments within a chain of convenience stores (Quik Shoppe). We operate 5 locations in Charlotte and 2 locations in Lincolnton. We have been serving up some of area’s best breakfast sandwiches, fried chicken and home cooked meals since 1982. We have a strong and loyal customer base that grows daily. Many of our customers drive 10-20 miles out of their way to purchase our food. Each and every day we have new customers who come to us and said they “had to come try our food” due to a co-worker, friend or relative passed the word along to them. We at Spivey Enterprises have long viewed our unique situation different than most others: We consider ourselves “a restaurant that happens to sell gas rather than a gas station that happens to sell food”.
