Maintenance Worker

Summary

Responsible for maintaining the grounds and interior of a restaurant and performing minor repairs.  Job responsibilities include maintaining the exterior and interior and repairs in compliance with company standards for quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and safety and security.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties.
• Remove debris on property, curb and connecting property.
• Ensure maintenance of landscaping.
• Clean exterior signage, lights and shutters.
• Sweep and clean walkways and entrance.
• Sweep and clean interior floors.
• Clean restrooms.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment.
• Water plants and grass as needed.
• Adheres to and complies with company safety policies and wears protective equipment when necessary.
• Adheres to OSHA safety standards that are applicable to the safe performance of tasks.
• Perform maintenance as requested by management.

• Possesses physical strength to lift and move heavy boxes and equipment.
• Demonstrates ability to operate maintenance equipment.
• Is capable of adapting repair skills and mechanical knowledge to a wide range of requests.
• Can respond quickly and calmly to emergency requests.
• Works well with a team.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with others to describe the problem and solution involved in particular maintenance matters.
• Must be flexible in hours and days worked.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year minimum in maintenance field or mechanical repair work.
